Arsenal fans called him a traitor and burned his shirt in the streets. United fans built statues in their minds. Ferguson retired at the perfect moment and Van Persie got stuck with the aftermath. Two more seasons at United, one more manager, zero more trophies. Left for Turkey in 2015. Arsenal fans still haven't forgiven him and probably never will.
